Pro tip: your plant lights are probably making your cozy setup look worse at night

I noticed this last month in my own living room. I have a nice reading corner with a monstera and some string lights, and I kept buying warm bulbs for the lamp next to it. The plants looked great in the day, but at night the whole corner turned this weird orange-brown. Turns out my cheap plant grow lights from Amazon were emitting a purple-red spectrum that clashed with everything else. So I switched to full spectrum LEDs with a daylight setting, like 5000K, and ran them only during the day. Now at night the string lights and lamp actually glow warm and the plants just look like plants. My friend in Denver did the same after I told her, and her whole apartment feels cozier. Has anyone else dealt with this plant light color clash? What bulbs are you using?

Most folks overthink this one, really. Those purple lights are ugly, sure, but if your plants are growing fine, swapping everything out sounds like a whole lot of extra money for a problem you only notice when you're staring at the corner.
