Tried the "ignore the clock" trick for Stardew Valley and it saved my farm

I kept rushing through my days trying to do too much and burning out by year 2, so I just started planting one crop type per season and ignoring the time limit entirely. Has anyone else found that slowing down actually makes your farm more profitable long term?

Stopped worrying about the daily clock and started focusing on upgrading my tools during winter instead. Letting go of the rush helped me prep the farm better for spring and actually make more gold over the whole year.

Started doing something similar with my animals... just let them roam free all day instead of rushing to pet each one before 7pm. Found out they actually find their own food sometimes and the quality of the eggs went up when I wasn't stressing them. For the crops, I'd say stick to one or two high profit crops like blueberries or cranberries and just focus on quality fertilizer instead of trying to max out every square of soil. The game's way more fun when you're not racing the clock every single day.
