I finally found a quick stretch that eases crane cab back pain.
My lower back used to ache after long shifts, but now I do a five-minute routine before work. It focuses on hip flexors and has really helped my comfort.

Honestly sounds kinda wild that a five minute stretch can fix crane operator back pain. That job seems like it would wreck your spine over time. Would think you'd need serious PT or deadlifts, not just some hip flexor thing. Your back must not have been that messed up to begin with.

Sitting in machines all day as a mechanic wrecks your back too, parker246... definitely agree a five minute fix sounds too good to be true.

When you say the back wasn't that messed up, I get it, but tight hip flexors from sitting all day can really lock up your lower back. I used to have similar issues driving trucks, and doing a simple lunge stretch for a few minutes each morning made a huge difference. It's not about fixing serious damage, but relieving the tension that builds up from being in one position for hours. If your hips are tight, they pull on your spine and cause pain, so loosening them can take pressure off your back. Have you tried any stretches for your hips, or do you just power through the pain?
