Thought the new load chart app was just a phone game until it saved a bad pick
A guy on site in Tacoma kept pushing this free app that showed crane limits in real time. I figured it was junk, but he showed me how it caught a 2% overload on a 75-foot radius lift with our 250-tonner. The riggers had the charts wrong by one page. That was six months ago, and now I check it against the paper chart every morning. What other tools have you all tried that seemed silly but actually work?
Yeah, the "seemed silly but actually works" thing is so real. I mean, I felt the same way about those laser distance measurers. Thought it was a toy until it saved us a ton of time setting up a pad.
