We need more hopeful climate prompts for sure.

Seriously, it's easier to imagine the end of the world than a decent recycling program. We're all just writing what we know, and right now that's disaster. Maybe we're just not that creative.

Yeah, my friend tried to write a story about a city that fixed its air quality with giant moss walls. She said it felt silly and naive, like she was writing for little kids. I mean, maybe we're just too used to the bad stuff to picture the good fixes working. It's easier to write about the river flooding than about everyone finally agreeing to build better flood walls, you know?
