Every prompt I see hinges on a villain who isn't a person
I scrolled through 30 prompts in the last two days and 25 of them had some faceless enemy like a corporation, a storm, or a magic curse as the conflict. Where are the messy human fights where both sides have a point? Yesterday I read one about a baker sabotaging a rival's oven, but the prompt just said 'she had to win the contest' and gave zero reason why the rival deserved it. That's lazy setup, not a story starter. Does anyone else refuse to write prompts where the bad guy is just a plot device with no clear motivation of their own?

Totally agree. A real villain needs their own story, not just a cardboard cutout to knock down.
