My prompt about a lighthouse keeper fell apart because I made the rule too specific
Last Tuesday I wrote a prompt that required the main character to describe sounds without using any hearing words, and my whole writing group just sat there stuck for 20 minutes. Turns out cutting off one sense made everyone freeze instead of getting creative. How do you all write prompts that limit things without killing the fun?
