Serious question, does anyone else get their best prompt ideas while stuck in traffic on I-35?
Last Tuesday I sat in bumper to bumper traffic near Waco for almost 90 minutes and wrote down 7 prompt ideas on a napkin. Four of them were garbage but one turned into a 2,000 word story about a guy who can only lie on Tuesdays, and it's the best thing I've written in months. Turns out staring at brake lights shuts off the part of my brain that second guesses everything. So now I want to know, what weird place or chore gives you guys your best ideas, and do you actually write them down or just hope you remember?
