That week in Austin where every prompt I wrote felt like homework
Last March I hit a rough patch for 6 straight days. Every writing prompt I opened felt like a chore, even the ones with cool twists like a time loop or a talking cat. I finally dumped my usual process, wrote a tiny scene about a bus stop in Round Rock, and somehow it unlocked everything. Has anyone else found that switching to a boring, real setting breaks a creative slump faster than trying harder with fantasy?
