My pen died during a 3 hour meeting in Dallas and I had nothing to write with
Had a rough one back in March. I was in Dallas for a work thing and sitting in this conference room for 3 hours. About 40 minutes in my pen ran dry. I dug through my bag and realized I left my backup at the hotel. I usually carry a Fisher Space Pen in my front pocket and a spare in my backpack, but that day I had neither. I ended up writing notes with a golf pencil someone left on the table, which was terrible. It made me think about how I build my daily carry. I have two knives, a flashlight, and a multi tool, but somehow I only had one pen and no refill. Now I keep a spare cartridge taped inside my notebook. What is the one item you double up on because you got burned once?
