PSA: You do not need a $60 leather wallet, my $12 one from the outlet mall has outlasted two of them
Everyone on here keeps saying a good wallet is a buy once cry once kind of thing, and I used to believe it. I bought a nice leather bifold two years ago and the stitching came apart at the corner within 8 months, then the replacement did the same thing at about the 10 month mark. Meanwhile the cheap nylon thing I grabbed for $12 at the outlet mall in Gilroy back in 2021 is still holding up with zero issues. Am I just hard on wallets or is the whole leather thing overblown?
Man I felt this in my soul. I had a fossil wallet that cost me like 45 bucks and the card slots got all stretched out within a year, cards falling out every time I opened it. My dad gave me some beat up velcro thing from walmart that he'd had since like 2005 and that thing is still going strong, I used it for three years after he passed. Leather looks nice and all but stitching fails, leather cracks, and nobody ever talks about that part. You're not crazy, some of us are just rough on our stuff and cheap gear holds up better sometimes.
