Pro tip: don't buy a $40 'miracle' plant food without checking the reviews first

I saw an ad for this stuff that promised to bring any houseplant back from the brink. My peace lily was looking sad, so I ordered it. It arrived today and it's basically blue water. The bottle is tiny, maybe 8 ounces. I used it all on one plant and it did nothing. I feel dumb for not looking it up first. Has anyone else fallen for a gardening product that was a total scam?

Garden scams are the worst because they prey on people trying to do something nice for their plants. I got burned by those "self-watering" crystal things that just made a moldy mess in the soil. It's a lesson learned the hard way, lol.

Ugh those crystal things are the worst, noah248. Had the same moldy soil disaster with my peace lily. Honestly just sticking your finger in the dirt to check for moisture is still the best method, boring as it is. Those cheap terracotta watering spikes you stick in a bottle work way better if you really need a slow release.
