Rant: spent 20 minutes fighting my email inbox today and the number that broke me was 47
I finally sat down this morning to clean out my inbox because it hit 2,300 unread messages and it was stressing me out. Started going through them one by one, unsubscribing, deleting, the whole thing. After 20 minutes I looked at my count and I had cleared exactly 47 emails. 47. Out of 2,300. I did the math and at that pace it would take me 16 hours to get through all of it. I just sat there staring at the screen in my kitchen with my coffee going cold. The worst part is half of them were newsletters I signed up for at 1am and never read once. So I unsubscribed from 12 of them right there and felt a tiny bit better. Small win I guess, but my inbox is still a disaster. Does anyone have a system that actually works or do we all just live like this?
