Serious question, my radiator started leaking at 11pm in my Minneapolis apartment and I fixed it with a $2 roll of plumber's tape

I was about to go to sleep when I heard that drip sound on the floor, and after 20 minutes of panic I just shut the valve, wrapped the threads, and it held all night, so now I'm wondering if I should still call the landlord or just keep an eye on it.
