Unpopular take: the empty inbox chase is overrated
I cleared 47 emails this morning but left 6 in my inbox on purpose, and honestly that felt better than my usual zero goal. Everyone brags about hitting inbox zero, but I think that habit just pushes you to answer stuff that could wait, or worse, delete things you'll regret needing later. I used to force it every night before bed, then last Tuesday I lost a confirmation code because I'd archived it too fast. Now I keep a small 'holding pen' folder and only empty it on Fridays, and my stress level is way down. Has anyone else stopped chasing that clean-slate feeling and found a different rhythm that works?
