Pulled 47 injectors out of one fleet truck last month and it stopped surprising me by number 30
We run a small shop outside Waco and took on a contract for a landscaping company with 12 diesel trucks. One of the F-250s came in running rough and I figured it was the usual, maybe two or three bad injectors. Pulled all eight and found six were shot, then the next truck had five, and it just kept going like that across the whole fleet. By the time I finished I had 47 dead injectors sitting on my bench in a cardboard box, which is more than I usually see in six months. What got me was the fuel filters on every single one of those trucks were way past due, like 30k miles past. I showed the owner the box and the filter dates and he just stared at it. Anybody else seeing fleets stretch oil and fuel changes way past the book and then act shocked when the injectors quit?
