My tablet pen died mid-client presentation last Tuesday
I was showcasing a 3D character model for a indie game studio over Zoom and my Wacom stylus just stopped working halfway through. Turns out the battery had been sitting at 5% and I didn't check before the call. I had to finish the demo using my mouse and it looked so sloppy. Anyone else have tech fail right when you need to look professional?

Oh man, that exact thing happened to me last month with my wireless keyboard. I was in the middle of a really important client call and my keyboard just died, no warning at all. I had to scramble to grab my laptop charger and use the trackpad, and it was so awkward with all these dead air pauses. It's honestly the worst feeling when you're trying to look put together and your gear just betrays you like that. I mean, now I always plug stuff in the night before a big meeting, even if it's not low, just to be safe.

haha right? Ugh I feel this so hard. I had a similar thing happen with my drawing tablet once, except it was the damn cord that got yanked out by my cat right as I was zooming in on a texture detail. I had to restart the whole thing while the client was just sitting there waiting, it was so awkward. Now I'm paranoid about every little thing - I even keep a backup stylus in my bag just in case. It's wild how one little battery dying can make you look completely unprepared when you were totally on top of everything.
