Why does nobody talk about how 3 years ago a cracked screen protector made me rethink my whole digital art process
Three years ago I was at a coffee shop in Austin and my tablet's screen protector cracked right in the middle of drawing a comic panel. I kept drawing anyway and realized the crack made me think about where lines should go, like a weird grid. That accidental constraint forced me to plan my strokes better, and my line art got cleaner over the next few months. Now I sometimes draw with a piece of tape on my screen to mimic that limit. Has anyone else used a dumb accident to break a bad habit in their art?
