My emulsion coat went from lumpy mess to smooth in 3 tries after I switched to a $9 squeegee
I was coating my screens with a cheap foam brush for about 10 screens and kept getting these thick blobs that ruined the stencil edges on every shirt. Last Saturday I watched a guy at the local print shop in Tacoma use a $9 plastic scoop coater and his coat came out even on the first pass. I tried it myself twice and the difference was night and day, no more drips running down the mesh. Does anyone have a trick for keeping the emulsion from pooling at the bottom edge when you're coating a big 20x24 screen?
