Rant: everyone says use a hair dryer to dry your emulsion but it ruined my screen last Tuesday
I was in my basement in Boise trying to burn a 2 color poster design at like 11pm and got impatient waiting for the emulsion to dry, so I grabbed my wife's hair dryer and hit the screen on high heat from about 6 inches away. After maybe 90 seconds the coating started looking wavy and when I went to expose it the whole thing was gummy and stuck to my transparency. I lost the screen and had to strip it with a pressure washer and start over, which cost me another night. Idk why people keep saying a hair dryer is fine, the heat moves the emulsion around before it sets. Has anyone actually made a hair dryer work without wrecking the coat, or should I just tell people to wait it out in front of a fan?
