Why does nobody mention you can cut a record on a cheap CD lathe from a yard sale
I figured a $40 yard sale lathe in Akron would just chew up plastic and sound like garbage, but after swapping in a sharper sapphire tip it actually cut clean grooves into a polycarbonate blank. Ran a test pressing on my buddy's setup and you can hear the whole track, just a little hiss on the quiet parts. Anyone else messing with cheap lathes or am I chasing a fluke here?
