One bad Thursday with an out-of-level slab changed my whole approach

Last month I was doing a residential layout in Columbus and the floor was off by nearly 2 inches across the room, but the prints said it was fine. I trusted my tape and grid lines anyway, then the cabinet guy pointed out the top rail would show the gap. Turns out I should have checked with a laser every 8 feet instead of just at the corners. Has anyone else had a job where the slab was so bad you had to stop and re-level everything before starting the draft?
