The 1:1 scale detail on a stair section that finally clicked for me
I was laying out a stair section for a small office build in Salem and kept messing up the headroom, so I looked up the actual code instead of guessing. Turns out the minimum is 6 foot 8 inches from the nosing line straight up to the ceiling, and I had been eyeballing it off the tread depth the whole time. Does anyone else keep a cheat sheet of these hard numbers pinned up, or do you just memorize them after enough jobs?
