Tried a standard bucket vs. a clamshell on the same silt job in Toledo and the difference was wild
Ran a clamshell all last week on a marina cleanout in Toledo and we pulled maybe 40 cubic yards in four days, then switched to our standard bucket for the last stretch and doubled that in two. The clamshell kept losing half its load on the swing, especially once the silt got watery past 6 feet down, so we were basically dredging the same spot twice. Anyone else find a certain bucket style just quits on you past a certain depth?
