TIL you can cook dried pasta straight in the sauce and I feel cheated

Figured it was a gimmick when a coworker in Fresno swore by it. Tried it with a box of penne and 2 cups of water in one pan, and it came out fine in about 12 minutes. Only one pot to wash, no giant colander mess on a Tuesday. Anyone else doing the one pan thing or am I late to this?
