Dropped $150 on a digital level and it saved my butt on site
The old bubble level kept lying to me on a rail install in Phoenix. That digital readout caught a 0.5 degree slope before the bolts went in. Anybody else trust the digital more than their eyes on escalator work?

Wait, did that happen to my buddy Mike on a rail job out in Scottsdale last summer? He said the digital level caught a 0.4 degree twist that would've had the whole thing looking like a funhouse mirror.

Yeah I definitely trust digital over my eyes for anything slope related. Our brains are terrible at judging angles especially when you're tired and it's 110 degrees out. The bubble level will show level but you can be off by a full degree and not even see it until the equipment binds up. Caught a similar issue on a handrail install last month where the digital readout showed a 0.3 degree twist that would have made the whole thing look crooked. Saved me a redo and a pissed off client.
