Switched from square to round nails for hind feet last year
For over 20 years I only used square nails on all four feet. Then I took a clinic with a guy out of Kentucky who showed me how round nails give you better heel nail placement on narrow hind feet. I tried it on a tricky Thoroughbred mare last October and the difference was night and day. Has anyone else found round nails work better for certain foot shapes?

Honestly I WAS a square nail purist until I tried round on narrow heels.
