My cash-only experiment slapped some sense into my wallet

I got tired of seeing my bank account drain every month. So, I decided to use only cash for all my spending for 30 days. It was hard at first, like when I had to pass up on impulse buys at the store. But I started to really think before I spent, because once the cash was gone, it was gone. By the end, I saved over $200 that I usually would have wasted. Now I think everyone should try this to see where their money really goes. It's a simple trick that makes you face your spending habits head-on.

Slapping sense into your wallet with cash, as @ninap95 knows, really works to save money.

My buddy did this cash thing last year. He said it was TOUGH at first, especially when he saw a new video game he wanted right away. But handing over ACTUAL bills made him pause, and he ended up saving like $150 in a month. Now he swears by it for checking his spending.
