The $15 bucket of wilted roses that saved my wedding gig
Last spring I had a bride order 200 roses for centerpieces and I was short on supply. My usual wholesaler was out so I grabbed a bucket of discount roses from a grocery store in Austin for $15. They looked terrible at first all droopy and sad. I trimmed the stems at an angle and put them in warm water with flower food for 4 hours and they perked up perfectly. Has anyone else had luck reviving cheap flowers from a regular store?

my usual wholesaler was out" lol like this is some tragedy that required a grocery store rescue mission. yeah flowers perk up from warm water, it's not exactly a hack, it's basic flower care.

Three days of warm water and I've revived grocery store flowers that looked completely dead. People are out here acting like flower care is some secret science when it's really just remembering that plants need water and a little warmth. This whole "hack culture" makes me laugh, everyone trying to re-invent basic stuff we've known for decades.
