inWasted $90 on a 'self-mixing' mud hopper that clogged solid
Is it just me or does it seem like every time we try to make something easier, we end up making it more complicated? I've noticed that with kitchen gadgets, tools, even phones - the simpler versions just work better and last longer. Sometimes the old way really is the best way, even if it takes a little more elbow grease.

inAlways ran G54 on every job. Just learned why that's a bad habit.
Had a buddy who snapped a $500 endmill cause he forgot to flip his G54 after a vise change, man.

inUpdate: Bought a $250 temp controller for my offset and it's a game changer
Man, that reminds me of my buddy Steve. He got a controller for his offset last year after his first kid was born. Said he loved the ritual too, but being up every 90 minutes with a newborn and then having to tend a fire all night was just impossible. The controller let him keep cooking on the rig he loved without losing his mind. He still does all the fire building and wood selection himself, the fan just handles the overnight part. He says it's the difference between giving up the hobby completely and still getting to make great barbecue.

inI finally listened to the old timer who warned me about the silt curtain
Mobile River currents are no joke, but losing half a day seems like a crew problem.

inUpdate: I used to think power stretchers were overkill for small rooms
Wait, did he try a manual cutter or a snap cutter? Because a good snap cutter with a carbide wheel can actually handle porcelain pretty well if you score it deep enough. The cheap ones with the little steel wheel are the real problem, they just skate right over the hard glaze.
