inSwitched from a cheap $20 hot air station to a proper Hakko one
Read a forum post once where a guy said his cheap iron was basically just melting plastic. Upgrading to a temperature controlled station let him actually work on the boards without destroying them. The right tool for the job really does change everything.

inI used to think a DA sander was just for final touch-ups, now it's my first tool out of the box
Yeah, that's a hard lesson to learn the expensive way. Honestly used to think a rotary was the only way to cut fast enough on bad paint. Seeing that first thin spot makes your stomach drop. Now the DA comes out for the heavy work every single time, no question. It just takes that one mistake to change your whole process.

inPSA: A client's offhand comment about his old mechanic changed how I talk about repairs
Doesn't that just build way more trust, though?

inEyeshadow blending just clicked for me after a tough client session
Totally get what you mean about the light switch flipping. I was using these tiny, dense brushes for everything and just could not get that soft look. Switched to a big, cheap fluffy brush I had lying around and it was like night and day. The color just melts together instead of sitting in stripes. It feels so obvious now, but it took me forever to stop pressing down so hard.

inPSA: The new subdivision going up has zero traditional chimneys
Ugh, SO depressing, @nancy_morgan. Seriously! It's not just about looks. Those chimneys meant REAL fires and family times. Now everything's so clean and boring. It feels like we're losing little bits of HISTORY with each new build. And for what? So roofs can be 'sleek'? No thanks.
