A senior dev told me my AI chatbot responses sounded too robotic so I ran all our training data through a readability checker
Turns out my average sentence length was 28 words when the data showed users respond best at 15 words or fewer, has anyone else gotten feedback that completely flipped their approach to prompt engineering?

...and I found out my writing style would make a legal document blush. A 28-word average sentence is practically a run-on in chatbot land, I was basically writing paragraphs when users want bullet points. Here's the deal, once I started cutting everything down to 12-15 word chunks, engagement jumped like 30% - turns out people actually read short sentences.

Hit copy on your sentence length, @murray.cole - mine dropped 40% and comments doubled.
