Blew $600 on a Snap-on ratchet set and it was totally worth it
I dropped $600 on a Snap-on ratchet set last year for the hangar and I gotta say those things have paid for themselves already. They just feel way better than the cheap stuff I used to buy from the truck stop. Anyone else think the price is justified or am I just fooling myself?

$600 is a lot but you get what you pay for with tools you use every day. Just keep in mind that Snap-on trucks usually have a markup for the convenience and financing, you can sometimes find the same quality for less if you hunt around. Either way, if they're making you money and feel good in your hand, it's money well spent.

Idk @kai602, I kinda get what you're saying about the markup on the trucks. But I've also watched guys swear by their Snap-on ratchets for like a decade straight without a hiccup. My old Craftsman set has some wobble now, but their stuff still feels tight. Maybe it's just me but $600 is steep for one tool, even a good one.
