Found an old trick for bleeding aircraft brakes that still works better
Was fighting with a stubborn brake bleed on a Cessna 172 last Tuesday. The normal method just wasn't pushing the air out. Remembered an old guy at my first shop in Tulsa showed me to use a piece of clear tubing and a partially filled jar of fluid. Made a simple loop to trap the air bubbles before they went back in. Anyone else got old school tricks that beat the fancy bleeder kits?

That old guy trick is basically the aviation version of "have you tried turning it off and on again." My brake bleeding usually ends with me finding new and creative ways to get brake fluid all over my shirt.

Duct tape over the nipple first, saves the shirt every time.
