A homeowner in Springfield told me to leave the dead oak for the woodpeckers

That rot was 20 feet from his house, right?

A client's custom island almost tipped over because we didn't check the floor slope

Wait, did he have to put in a whole new support beam or just patch it up? Honestly, that sounds like a nightmare weekend. HugoPrice, a full inch would freak me out too, but two inches is next level. Makes you wonder what else is hiding down there in the dark.

Back in the 90s, we used to cut all our drywall with a utility knife and a straightedge, but now my whole crew uses a cordless rotary tool for almost every cut.

But come on, a game changer? It's just cutting paper. A sharp blade and a metal ruler worked fine for decades. My grandad built a whole business with just an X-acto knife. This feels like calling a new toaster a life altering event. It's a handy tool, not some huge revolution.

Had to pick between a mint condition Amazing Fantasy 15 reprint or a beat up original X-Men 94 for my collection, went with the reprint.

So what's the tipping point for you on condition versus price? Like, would you ever grab a really rough copy of a key issue just to have it, or do you always save up for the nicer version?

PSA: Heard a guy at the supply house say he never uses a certain sealant for overhead glass anymore

Actually, that sealant is rated for overhead glass if it's installed right. The Tempe failure sounds like a prep or priming issue, not the product itself. I've seen it last ten years on sloped glazing when the surface was clean and dry. What brand are you thinking of switching to?
