Serious question, who still uses a grease gun the old way?
Back in 2008 at the maintenance base in Denver, I used to hand pump grease into every bearing until I felt the pressure push back. Now everything is electric and has a digital pressure gauge, but I swear I can tell more by feel than by reading numbers. The new guns are faster, but they miss the little pops and creaks you hear when you go slow. Has anyone else switched back to manual guns for certain jobs, or am I just stuck in the past?

Manual grease guns have their place, sure. But calling this a serious question? That's a stretch. Pressure feel is fine until your wrist gives out on the tenth fitting that day, and then you start missing that digital readout real fast. Maybe keep the manual one for the finicky stuff and let the electric do the heavy lifting.
