Wireless vs hardwired sensors, my 18 unit apartment job changed my mind
Did a retrofit last month on a 3 story walkup in Portland. Owner wanted wireless everything because it's faster. I pushed for hardwired on the first floor at least. Well, three days in, we found out the building has steel mesh in the walls. Wireless range went to junk. Had to redo half the placements. Hardwired took longer but zero callbacks since. Anyone else hit a building that made you switch methods mid job?
