A drywaller's one line about my mud job stuck with me

Was finishing a basement in Cochrane last month and this older guy walked through, looked at my taped seams and just said "nice and flat, but you're fighting the corner bead." He was right, I'd been feathering way too wide trying to hide it. Anyone else get tips from random trades on site that end up saving you time later?
