A foreman in Fort McMurray told me my rebar spacing was 'art class' and I rebuilt my whole approach
I was tying rebar on a foundation pour in Fort McMurray last spring and the foreman walked up and said my spacing looked like art class, meaning it was all over the place. He was right, I had been eyeballing it for years instead of using a snap tie every 4th bar like the drawings showed. Cost me two days to redo that section but now I carry a chalk line and mark every 16 inches before I even start. Anybody else get called out like that and actually change how they work?
