Figuring out where to point the camera took practice for me. The trick was covering the board in a thin layer of rubbing alcohol and watching which spot evaporates first, then confirming with the cam. That cut my time way down on a MacBook logic board where three caps sat under a shield I could not get my probes into. Still only worth it maybe one in five jobs, but when it saves you, it saves you an hour.

I ran into this same thing on a Frigidaire last year, kept swapping igniters and the flame was still lazy and yellow. Turned out the regulator was set way low, only putting out about 3 inches of water column when it should've been closer to 6 or so. A manometer was the best $40 I ever spent, takes two minutes to check at the burner port before you tear anything apart. Now I test pressure first on every gas call, saves me a ton of wasted parts and callbacks.
