A foreman in Red Deer told me my site photos were useless, and he was right
He asked me to find the framing on a garage we finished 3 months back and I had 40 shots of the same corner, so now I take one wide shot and one close shot of each wall before the drywall goes up, and has anyone else had a client or lead call out their paperwork like that?
Getting called out like that stings but it saves you later. My phone camera roll was basically a museum of blurry corners and thumb shots before a lead sat me down and asked what any of it was supposed to show. Now I do the same as you, one wide shot so you see the whole wall, one close up on the details, plus a tape measure in frame so there's no guessing about spacing. Takes two extra minutes and it has saved me more than once when a client swore a wall was straight or a header was wrong. Funny how the guys who yell the loudest about photos are usually the ones who never take any themselves.
