The grading crew that left my driveway looking like a ski jump

Hired a crew out of Airdrie to redo my gravel driveway back in May. They showed up on time but the final grade had a 2 foot drop at the culvert. First rain turned the whole thing into a mudslide down to the road. Told the foreman about it and he said the moisture content made it settle, which is total garbage since we had a dry week. Has anyone else had a contractor blame the weather for a sloppy grade instead of just owning it and fixing the crown?

Man that sucks, and honestly it makes me feel a little better about my own driveway because at least mine only has a 3 foot sinkhole at the end. My guy said it was "settling" too, but pretty sure it was just his level being a potato. Bet your culvert's got a better slope than their learning curve lol. Keep taking photos of the washout every rain, that's the only way they'll finally admit the grade was toast from day one.
