Hit 500 square feet of tile work this weekend, way faster than I expected

I laid out 500 sq ft of porcelain tile on a rental flip in the North Valley and finished in 2 days, not the 4 I budgeted for. The key was using a 1/2 inch trowel on this old slab instead of messing with self-leveler. Has anyone else found that bigger notches speed things up on uneven adobe floors?
