Forum hype is a dangerous thing. I just watch a few episodes on a streaming service first now, even if it means waiting. Saves a lot of money and regret.

Totally get where you're coming from, @miles825. The hype machine is real (and honestly, kind of exhausting). Fell for it hard a few years back with that space western show everyone swore was the next big thing. Bought the whole first season on disc, watched three episodes, and it just... sat there. Now I do the same thing, just wait for it to pop up on a service I already pay for. Saves so much shelf space, not just money.
