Hit 1000 fridge compressor replacements this week without a single redo

Ngl I didn't even keep count until a coworker mentioned it at lunch. That number felt wild since I started out ruining two units my first month alone. Anyone else track random stats like this or is it just me?

Take it easy on him, @alicea26's buddy had a good system even if his wife didn't see it that way. 1000 fridge compressors is serious work, but you're right about those first couple screw ups sticking with you more than the wins. Tracking it makes you feel like you're doing something important, but really it's just a number until you mess one up and have to start over.

Had a buddy who kept a running tally on his garage wall for years. He marked every toilet he installed with a little sticker on the toolbox lid. Got to 800 something before his wife finally made him paint over it. He said it was the only way to prove he wasn't just slacking off when she asked what he did all day. Funny how those small numbers become a weird kind of pride. Your 1000 number is solid though, especially if you remember those first couple screw ups.
