Just realized my go-to fix for a Kenmore 417.9 dryer was a total waste of time
I was at a job in a basement in Akron, Ohio, and the homeowner said the dryer wouldn't heat. I immediately started pulling the whole vent system apart, thinking it was a clog. After an hour of work, I found the real problem was a $12 thermal fuse I could have checked first in 5 minutes. Anyone else have a 'usual suspect' they check too late?
Right, my brain also skips the easy answer to go straight for the weird fix. Jade226 and I would probably just stare at a broken toaster for three hours, lmao. It's a real talent for making things harder.
