Used to yank on every error code part. Now I test first.
I used to just swap control boards when a Samsung fridge threw a 22E code. Wasted $300 on a board that wasn't even bad. Changed my ways after a guy in Toledo showed me the multimeter trick. Now I check the door switch and evaporator fan every time before ordering anything. Anyone else had luck testing before replacing on this model?

Oh buddy, I get what you're saying but is it really that serious? I mean yeah, testing first saves money and all that, but sometimes you just gotta trust your gut and swap the part. I've had times where I tested every little thing and still ended up replacing the same board anyway. It's not like a $300 mistake is gonna bankrupt you, and you learn way more from screwing up than from being a perfect tech every time. Maybe I'm just lazy but I don't lose sleep over a few bad calls now and then.
