DAE know why an elm tree would have spotty yellow leaves?
Was out checking a client's elm tree yesterday and spotted random branches with yellow leaves. No visible bugs or damage on the bark, which is weird. The soil seems ok, but idk if that's the issue. Anyone else run into this? What's the next step for figuring it out?

Could be Dutch elm disease starting maybe?

I used to assume every elm problem was Dutch elm disease too. Then I saw a case where the leaves were browning from the edges in, which is classic heat stress. A local arborist showed me how Dutch elm disease usually starts with wilting whole branches from the stem. Now I check for that pattern first.

Nah, looks more like heat stress to me, @hugo441.
