Go for it, but keep it optional, lol. Is your team the type to chill outside of work? If so, a hike could be a good time and not feel like another meeting. But if people just talk about work stuff, it might be boring. Make sure no one feels forced to go, so it's actually fun. I did one once and it was fine, but it really depends on the group.

Yeah the "time flies" thing is so real. I was sanding this old table for hours last week and got through like three episodes of Hardcore History. Dan Carlin just makes you forget you're even doing a task.

I used to assume every elm problem was Dutch elm disease too. Then I saw a case where the leaves were browning from the edges in, which is classic heat stress. A local arborist showed me how Dutch elm disease usually starts with wilting whole branches from the stem. Now I check for that pattern first.
