Dropped $85 on a gas powered pole saw that lasted one afternoon
Saw a gas pole saw at a flea market in Reno for $85 and figured I'd save my arms on the cottonwood limbs out back. Got about 40 minutes of cutting before the thing seized up, and the guy's number was disconnected by Monday. Turns out the "fresh rebuild" was just a wiped down crankcase and a lot of hope. My $30 manual pole pruner has outlasted it by two seasons now. Anybody got a gas pole saw that actually holds up, or am I just better off renting one for the big jobs?
